The Stem family started their beekeeping adventure in 2016 because of their love of honey. After learning about the complexity of the honey bee, their health benefits and how important they are to our environment, Clay and Jen were stung with excitement. They also wanted to teach their children to understand that food just doesn't appear on a shelf and that there are many life lessons learned when running a small agricultural business. Clay and Jen were married 2001 and have two amazing boys. Chase is studying Aerospace Engineering at Missouri Science & Technology. Grady will be graduating from Hickman High School and hoping to continue his education at MIZZOU!
Our local honey is lightly filtered to keep it as raw as if you pulled it from the comb yourself. We do not use chemicals in our hive management program, but we do treat our bees to a probiotic several times a year to promote good health. We also offer homemade lip balms and all natural beeswax candles. We utilize our own beeswax along
Our local honey is lightly filtered to keep it as raw as if you pulled it from the comb yourself. We do not use chemicals in our hive management program, but we do treat our bees to a probiotic several times a year to promote good health. We also offer homemade lip balms and all natural beeswax candles. We utilize our own beeswax along with other local sources through Boone Regional Beekeepers Association in the making of the balms and candles.
